Happy, happy Thursday yall! Hope you are having a wonderful week. This week's challenge twist over at Krafty Chicks is JUST A SENTIMENT, interpret as you wish ;-) For my card I focused on words and not "art/images".
Recently Altenew put this Caps Bold Alphabet on sale (like HUGE on sale, maybe 40ish% or something?), anyway it was enough that if I only used the set once in a blue moon it'd be worth it… but WOW I LOVE these dies! They are such a fab size, LOTS of great ideas for this set!!!! So those dies were my "starting point"!
I needed something behind those letters to make them POP, it had to be "pretty" but not pull away from those letters. While I was "shopping" at Altenew, this Cozy Flannel Cover die caught my eye… and it was perfect for this card! I started with some watercolor paper and had some "smooshing" fun with Shimmerz Paints!
I love the colors and I love the way they play together! A very pretty, and shimmery background that let's the "HEY" still be the focus!. I have fallen in LOVE with the "sassy" sentiment sets over at RABBIT HOLE DESIGNS, this one is called Sassy Sentiments.
