Good morning & happy Tuesday! Welcome back for another does of Tuesday Morning Sketches!! As part of our New Year tradition, the team is revisiting some of our fave sketches, and this one is Melissa’s. For my card this week I played with one of my favorite lines from Trinity Stamps, their super cute gnomes! This is the Falling For You gnome and I used him and the sketch to make a sweet card AND my February cover page for my Bullet Journal! Please scroll to the bottom of my post for this weeks sketch, or you can click >here< to see it on the TMS Blog.

Ok, seriously… how stinking CUTE are these guys!!! So first up I made the card, and funny enough I had it all finished before I looked at the sketch again and realized that it said “add a bird”! WHAT??!?!? Lucky for me, the Easter edition of this cute lil Gnome comes with a little chick! So I stamped him, cut off his egg and added a heart, lol Whew!

Can you see the cute stitched diagonal background behind him? I love it! I’m not sure why other people’s cards on plain cs look amazing and mine don’t, but oh well… lol. This was as easy as stamp him out, color him up with Copics and use the coordinating dies to cut him out! I grabbed some patterned paper scraps for my strips at the bottom, stamped and die cut the sentiment AND added my chick and voila! Finito!

My BuJo cover page was pretty much just a repeat. I stamped another Gnome, colored him up with Copics in a little different color palette and die cut him out. I used scraps from another paper pack for the strips and this time let them run all the way to the left edge of the paper, and I added a 4th strip. I adhered all of these and then stuck my Gnome on top.

For the top, I actually cheated and printed the “February” using a font from the Silhoutte store, took like 30 seconds! I do hope to be better at brush lettering one of these days, but until then printing it is easy peasy! I used all 3 of the heart dies from my Gnome set and cut out several from each of the scrap papers, I placed these in “random” places and then drew some gray ribbons to each one. I also “attached” each gray ribbon to my “February” with a gray “bow”.

I am just getting started with Bullet Journaling and I am so in LOVE with how this page turned out!!! Now it’s YOUR turn, you can link up your creation on the TMS Blog, we’d all love to see what you create! You can also visit the blog to see what the rest of the Design Team created! Thanks for popping by, hope to see you again soon!
