Grateful | Tuesday Morning Sketches

Good morning & happy Tuesday!  Time for another Tuesday Morning Sketch!  I’ve used the sketch this week along with some great Fall goodies from Jaded Blossom Stamps!!  Please scroll to the bottom of my post for this weeks sketch, or you can click >here< to see it on the TMS Blog.

So because I can’t seem to get enough of all things Fall, I ordered another “haul” from Jaded Blossom. I started my card by placing my stencil where I wanted it, then ink blending with some Oxide inks…I love the way this background turned out! Next up I had some fun with “textures”. Jaded Blossom has loads of amazing stand alone dies! These leaves have such great detail in the die, there’s not need for a coordinating stamp so you can go crazy with the papers you use these dies with!

Next up I stamped & die cut my acorn. Now, I wanted the “nut” part to be this alcohol ink blended pattern so I just stamped it twice (once on kraft and once on the blended) and then hand trimmed both pieces. Then adhered those to the diecut “white” piece. The acorn was adhered with foam tape. I used some Glitter papers, some Glimmery paper and some alcohol ink blended paper for my leaves, then added the “scatter” of leaves below the acorn (with foam tape) and then added my sentiment on top. I really love all of the great colors and textures here! Finally I added some baubles (because, of course it NEEDS baubles) and finito!
