Hey yall! Well today is the last day of peeks and tomorrow is the Release Hop!! Today the Krafty Girls are inking up the last new set for February… BUDS & BLOOMS! Earlier this week Krafty Girl Marilyn posted a Tute on the Krafty Blog on making Shadow Box Cards… holy guacamole it looked like FUN! As soon as I saw the tute I new I was going to try it with this set!! I stamped the middle and smaller line-art flowers with black ink and embossed them with clear… I didn't want the black "screaming at me", lol. Then I used some watercolor crayons on the flowers and finished them off with a paintbrush and water!
For the center piece, I stamped the sentiment the same way I did the flowers, then scribbled some purple on it. I did just a light "wash" of brush & water, I really wanted it to still look scribbled. Add a crinkle ribbon bow and Voila!!!! These would be fun to make for the kids' desks at home 🙂 I'll be popping in to the release party a little later today… hope to see you there!

Love the shadow box card idea. Can’t say I have ever seen it done like this before. I thought maybe you had created a decorated frame. Absolutely great card, love it!
