Happy Friday-eve! Time for another Deconstructed Sketch, and I whipped out another stencil to play with too!! I really LOVE a splash of pink along with Red, Green and Chocolate for Christmas stuff but the paper pack I was using didn't have any good pink patterns, though there was a teeny splash of it in the stripe panel.
For today I used the Diagonal Stripes stencil from MFT along with some Pink Ink Spray to create a background. I was so excited to get Stencil-ing, I forgot to take a picture of my template taped off, but I layed it out so I could keep the strip on the right white. The fun part of using an ink spray, is that I could create an uneven color pattern, some parts are darker and some are lighter. I only sprayed it twice… LOVE the look!
For the rest of the card I inked up Tinsel & Trim set from Reverse Confetti. Taking the arrows to stamp down that white strip. The sentiment on the banner is also from the set. I used the Award Banner Trim die from Verve, I set aside the teeny circle pieces that were leftover from the banner and used them on the pink stripe piece (see below).
Well that's all I've got for ya. You REALLY need to check out the great Stencils (and other goodies) at MFT Stamps! And be sure to check out the rest of the DS Girls and link up your sketch creation on Jen's blog!
