Happy New Year! It’s time for another Birthstone Challenge, and we’re switching things up a teeny bit this year. In addition to this month’s featured gem colors, Garnet & Amethyst (scroll down for graphic), there’s also an optional theme of New Beginnings . You can use one color or both colors, but one or both needs to be the main color. This month I used both colors and the “New Year” is my New Beginning!
This is my cover/first page for my Bullet Journal for this year. It’s A5 size and I created a “barndoor layout”. For the “door” piece I die cut the “2024” with Glitter paper and attached the flower swag on the edge (it almost acts as a “door knob). The flower stamp is from the Buttercup Blossoms set (by Trinity Stamps), I also used the coordinating dies. The inside is a piece of purple watercolor paper and I made 2 sections using dashed lines, for Goals & Resolutions. I really love the way this turned out!
