Hello & happy Wednesday! I’m up on the TLC Designs blog today with this fun card. I used the N’er Land Friends stamp set, Blooming Medley paper pack, Loving Petals dies and the Apple a Day die set.
First off, I die cut the stripey/floral paper for my background. Then I cut the card base (the blue)… for this I cut my cs to 5.5″ square, scored and folded in half, then I took the outside frame die and raised it above my fold like a little. This cut the shape of my card, but left the fold along the top (if you look closely you can see where the folded blue ends and the floral sticks up above the fold line.
Next I used the ovals from the Loving Petals dies set, I doubled them up (used both the oval and the oval frame for the blue cs, then used just the oval frame for the white. Now the blue frame sits on top of my white layer/sentiment. Now I colored up several of the N’er Land friends and cut them out. They are adhered with foam tape so they stick up a little.
It’s a little hard to see, but I used a Stardust pen to add some glitter to the book “dust” . I finished off the card with a few little baubles around the sentiment and a flatback pearl on the candle base. Thank you so much for stopping by hope to see you again soon!
