Keep Calm and Read On – Trinity Stamps Bookmark

Good morning and happy Monday! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! I got a little of playing time in my loft last week and decided I wanted a new bookmark. This super cute Tall Tales set from Trinity Stamps is too cute and was just perfect and it comes with a coordinating die. I also used these Wavy Slimeline dies (Dare 2b Artzy) for the frame and patterned paper.

I stamped and colored up the tall stack of books with Copics, and of course I couldn't resist adding the cute lil Owl on top. Once both images were colored, I cut them out with their coordinating dies. Before setting these pieces aside I added some Glossy Accents to his glasses. This is a magnet bookmark, so there are 2 layers to it. The 2nd layer of the bookmark has the patterned paper die cut with the Wavy dies adhered to a black cs base, this makes it more sturdy. I tend to read in bed and put my bookmarks on the bed while I'm reading, and not saying that I've fallen asleep while reading, ahem, but just incase SOMEONE did and rolled over on top of bookmark, etc. lol I die cute the large heart and then stamped my KEEP CALM sentiment, the was adhered to the 2nd layer.

The top layer is acetate, and I added a black cs frame to it. I scored the framed acetate piece about 1/4" down, making a "fold" and a clear place to "open" the bookmark. I used 1/4" adhesive above the score line to adhere both layers. To the acetate layer I added the stack of books and then popped up my cute lil' Owl friend. I've also added a twine ribbon to the top.
