Happy Friday! I'm so excited to be Guesting over on the Coffee Lover's Blog today! Did you get a chance to participate in the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers hop in March? Did you at least get a chance to poke around at all of the amazing entries? or pay a visit to any of the wonderful Super Sponsors? I just LOVE seeing all of the things people create and enter, but one of the very best things (for me anyway) is discovering new stamps and companies. One of the things I try to do each hop is poke around some of the companies (from the entries as well as the Super Sponsor list) that are "new to me" and place an order from a couple of them. One of the companies I've fallen in love with is Trinity stamps, in fact I've already placed a couple of orders with them (shhhh, lol). I immediately fell in love with the idea of this Falling For You Gnome and the Layered Coffee Bean Stencil together!
There are 2 layers to this stencil, the first has 1 side of a bean and the 2nd has the other half. I started by blending some Distress ink with the 1st layer, then for the 2nd layer I used some Embossing ink and Nuvo Copper powder. I love the look and mix of texture! I colored up my lil Gnomie with Copics and used the coordinating die to cut him out.
I also stamped some of the extra hearts included in the stamp set, used the coord dies and then popped them up. Finally I added some sequin type things here and there. I tied up a multi-loop bow with some twine for his hat and added a sequin "flower" to it. The set comes with a super cute sentiment, but I wanted something with a "coffee vibe", this sentiment is from the Perfectly Blended sentiment set (The Rabbit Hole Designs, another Super Sponser!).
This card was all about getting inky and pure coloring fun. Well that's all I've got for you today, thank you to the CLC crew for having me today!
