Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend. Today I am beyond excited to be filling in on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog! For my card today I used the ENDLESS POTENTIAL digital set from PolkaDot Orchard, and I've paired it up with some DecoFoil!
DecoFoil is so much fun and it's so easy to use! I started off by printing the background image on my laser printer. Now, instead of using a single color of DecoFoil, I grabbed two… Rose Gold and a Green, then I cut them in strips and laid them on a diagonal over my background panel and ran it through my laminator. The image below is a little dark, but it was the only way to show you the foil, can you see the 2 colors there? I LOVE this! It's subtle, but makes such a difference!! I used the card base panel die from CARD FRONT ELEMENT BUILDER dies by SugarPea Designs on this panel… so pretty!
Next up, I grabbed the "drink image" from ENDLESS POTENTIAL and sized it to what I wanted and printed it on my regular printer, then colored it up with Copics. I found a flag die that I wanted to use for the sentiment and them measured how small I needed the sentiment to be and printed it also on the regular printer (directly on my patterned paper). I have to admit that digi images are a fairly small percentage of my "stamps" BUT I absolutely LOVE them for all of their flexibility (and instant purchase gratification, let's be honest! lol). I used the DOUBLE SCALLOP die from Reverse Confetti with some patterned paper that kind of has a pink to green "ombre" look… this was perfect to make that cup "pop".
Last part of the front… I sized, printed and colored up one of the flower clusters and then popped it up on the upper corner… look at those colored images against the foiling!!!!! SWOON!!!
I was having too much with this card and just couldn't stop myself, lol… so I also did up the inside! This time I printed the drink on the laser printer and then used some Rose Gold Deco Foil… LOVE
I used the same DOUBLE SCALLOP die with a little busier pattern for the top and added another banner… pretty inside with plenty of room to write!
Well that's it for me, sorry for the long winded post, I hope you like this card as much as I do and if you get the chance to color up this set, be sure to share it with us over in the Coffee Loving Papercrafters FB group! Thanks for popping by, hope to see you again!
Love this! Foil is my favorite thing about digis! So pretty! Thanks for playing along with me at the CLC!
