KCC: #450 Mad for Plaid!

Happy Thursday!  I don't know where this week has gone, I can't believe it's already Thursday… it IS Thursday, right?!?!??  Time for another Krafty Chicks challenge!  As always our challenge is ANYTHING GOES, and also as always (or at least MOSTLY always, lol) we have a "twist".  This week's hostess is Miss Lori and the "twist" is PLAID!  I LOVE plaid, like really really really really really really LOVE plaid!!!!!

DSCN0164I recently bought the SKETCHED STRIPES background stamp (Concord & 9th), I stamped it in ROSE ink, turned it 90 degrees and then stamped again with BELLINI ink.  I could have stamped it up to 4 times (with a gorgeous look!) but I was afraid of it looking too busy.  After stamping the "plaid" I used the POSTAGE STAMP die for the card front panel.

DSCN0165I also did a little "eclipsing" here.  The HELLO LOVELY die is a new one and it was perfect to build this card around!  I cut it out of the plaid panel as well as 3 layers of white cs, so there's 3 layers of white letters and then my plaid letters… it raises it just enough.

DSCN0166I added a smattering of hearts to the upper right corner.  The larger 2 are the new PATTERNED HEARTS dies, the fluttery hearts (which may be my fave heart dies in the history of EVER!) are from XOXO HEARTS die set.

DSCN0167I just love all of the layers & dimension on here!!!

Whelp, that's all I've got for ya, be sure to check out what the rest of the Chicks have been up to,

And don't forget to link up your creation at the Hen House!

  1. Gorgeous plaid card, friend! Love the inset sentiment – very cool! I might have to look into this background stamp – looks like a person could have a lot of fun with it! Have a great weekend, friend! xoxoxo
