4CC: #411, Life is a Picnic

Happy Friday-eve, hope you're having a wonderful week!  It's time for another 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge and this week's hostess is Nance.  While all of our challenges are always Anything Goes, we like to throw in a little twist each for you to try if you'd like (though not required), this week's twist is LIFE'S A PICNIC.

20180711_135047And of course a picnic NEEDS lemonade!  I just love a nice glass of ice cold, homemade lemonade, Yummmmmmm!  Ok, so for my card I used Fresh & Fruity Stamps & coordinating dies.  Thanks to Freshly Made Sketches for my creativity boost with such a great sketch!  I started off stamping both lemons (solid and polka dot) in Buttercup Ink on my white panel, then added in some leaves in Pistachio.  I grabbed a scrap of these stripes from the Cheerful & Kind paper pad for some added color.

20180711_135054I recently ordered the All Framed Up Dies and this was the perfect opportunity to use them!  That sentiment fit perfectly!  I stamped and die cut a couple more lemons, this time in Sunshine and Bumblebee and leaves, added some sequins a bow & voila!  Oh, and I also adhered all of that kind of "wonky" on the Sunshine card base.  Well, that's all I've got for ya, but be sure to visit the rest of the Chicks in the Hen House to see what they've got share.

Leanne, Lori, Nance & Amy

We hope you'll play along with us, and when  you do don't forget to link up your creation on our blog.  We'd love to see what you make!!

  1. Hot dog, this is so pretty, I feel like a lemonade now. Great paper, and the bow/ribbon, nice touch there and the colors. Way to go friend!

  2. Wonderfully bright and cheerful! I love your pair of lemons and the fun angled sentiment! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
