4CC: Lotsa & lotsa Layers

It's time for another fab-tastic challenge from the 4 Crafty Chicks!  Before I jump in to this week's challenge, I'd just like to shout out from the roof-tops that I'll be joining these wonderful ladies full time, as a permanent Guest Chick… I am so over the moon excited to be able to "hang" every week with these super talented and uber-sweet Chicks!!  Ok, enough gooshiness, on to the pretty stuff!!  This week's hostess is Amy and her "twist" to the challenge is LOTSA LAYERS!!!  Of course, as always the challenge is anything goes (we just wanna see ya inky and have some creative fun), but we've added a twist for those that want a little more challenge!

This is the card I made for hubby for Valentines day.  One of my favorite companies for dies (and their stamps too) is Reverse Confetti, and for this card I grabbed a few of my faves!  The "XO" is a die (from XOXO Hearts Confetti Cuts), I just cut it in half to fit my square.  The "LOVE" and the tic-tac-toe are from the Crushin' stamp set (which is now retired).  The layout for my card is from this month's SFYTT over at Reverse Confetti (sketch below).

That big ol' heart (from Heart to Heart Confetti Cuts, and it looks like it's on sale right now!)… it's one of my fave heart dies, I like the extra curvi-ness of it 🙂 (yep, that's a thing, lol).  I stamped the "tic-tac-toe" in Lead ink (sometimes I just really like a sentiment in a dark cool gray instead of bold black), then I went over the "X's" with a black chalk pencil and the hearts I filled in with a Gold glitter pen.  For the Arrow (Arrow Confetti Cut), I ended up cutting it in half so I could put it exactly where I wanted it and still have enough sticking out on both sides.  I kinda liked the main panel a little tilted, but then all of that plain red showing bothered me a bit, so I filled it in with some pin dots using the same Gold glitter pen :-)  Well that's it for me and my Lots Layers, be sure to head over to the 4 Crafty Chicks blog to check out what my teamies have created and don't forget to link up your creation… we can't wait to see what you've created!!!
