FINALLY!!! The February release is LIVE in the Kraft Store and ready for shopping!!! For my card today I used SQUISHY HUGS and played around with the Spotlight Technique!!! The layout for my card is last week's Mojo Monday Sketch.
I didn't want to leave the rest of the image white though (it sickens me that people take images in white and "swipe" them!), so I colored it some super pale BG's and the colorless blender. The "spotlight" shape is a couple of diecut hearts, and to make them "pop" just a little more I took a .03 Multiliner (Black) and made some teeny dots to "outline". I really like the way this turned out 🙂
And once again, I needed to make my sentiment "fit", so I chopped it a bit and it fit fabulously! Thanks for popping by, and thanks for visiting during peek week!! Have fun hopping along and visiting with the Krafty Girls!!
Well that’s nifty… for a minute I thought it was a window card! Love that stamp!!

This is so FUN!! The spotlight technique really works great on this image because the little girl is so happy and the cat is so not. 🙂 The little black dots are a great touch, too.

I’ve always loved the spotlight technique, and I appreciate your use of the heart die cuts to highlight your image. Great idea about lightly coloring the rest of the image!
