My 2015 Planner!

IMG_2005

It's done and it's pretty and it's just perfect for ME!  And it's ready to help me conquer my goals this year!!!  Pretty things have super powers, it's common knowledge 😉  My friend Kimmie ordered some Erin Condren planners this year and WOW were they pretty! and personalized and fun, and oh yeah, did I mention PRETTY???  I almost got one, yup almost, but it wasn't quite exactly what i wanted, I wanted something just a bit different.  So I spent some serious time poking around online… thank goodness for Etsy and Pinterest!!!!

One thing that I KNEW I wanted was a hard cover… I just wanted something more solid and able to stand up to some abuse.  This cover is from STAPLES and it's their ARC brand, it's the same binder as the Martha Stewarts but this is what was available local.  I chose black so I can change colors at will and this will go with EVERYthing!  But the "discs" that came with it weren't gonna give me enough expansion room, which was GREAT because then I got these fun green larger discs!  I was a little worried that with these discs the structure would be a little flimys… NOT!!!!  This baby is just as solid as if it were a bound binder!  Above is my binder with it's pretty geen discs, an elastic folder band (which holds my planner organizer in place and gives me a place to clip more things), I also took some ribbon and tied it in a loop to hold several spools of Washi Tape.  These are my "go to" Washi's for my planner, but I've also gotten some others for the holidays, etc.

I found these great note pads/check lists at The Container Store, I like that it's in sections.  The pad is adhered to the inside cover and the list I'm currently using is on the TODAY divider (scroll down for that).  I wasn't wild about any of the personalized covers pages I found, so I made my own.  Oh, and that post it in the upper left corner, that's my color code list (pink ink is for stampy stuff, etc.).

So the planner filler pages I decided to go with are from i heart organizing, they are PERFECT!  They are colorful and pretty, organized but with enough wiggle room that I can make a page work for me!  When I printed these out, they used MINIMAL ink!!!!!  In addition to her planner, she has a GREAT FAQ section on her blog, with what pens work for her, dividers, tabs, etc.  This was a great launching stone for me!  Above are the tabs she suggested, which I really like, they are by Girl of all Work and I grabbed mine from The Container Store.

This is page 2 for this week.  I used some Washi Tape and a Sharpie to break up the list area and add a section for Blog Posts (one of my goals for this year is to post on BOTH blogs consistently!).  I LOVE that there is also a section for weekly goals!

Above is my this week, before I've filled much of it in.  Also in the picture is my TODAY bookmark thing-y, you can see the details on my TODAY bookmark >here<.  As you can tell by the wreath in her hand she's not exactly "current", you'll have to pop back by on Wednesday to see my newest divider!  Another of my goals this year is BALANCE… this layout and different colored pens allows me to keep track of my quilting, sewing and paper crafting projects as well as family life… all in one place!

This is the month-at-a-glance which is great for marking visitors, vacation, etc.  Another great place to add some Washi!

This is where the "I wanted more" comes in.  I added some write on dividers for 5 additional sections I wanted.  The first is a HOMELIFE section, it includes this Cleaning Checklist (also from i heart organizing)…

A Pantry Inventory (LOVE this!!)…

and a Freezer Inventory!  Instead of more dividers to seperate these 3, I used cute clips along the top!

The next 2 sections are QUILTING and SEWING, and these are the pages I use both of these sections.  I don't remember where I got this page, but I so love it and have been using these for several months already!  As soon as I find the source, I'll come back and link, in the mean time if you are interested email me and I'll find it for ya.  The last 2 sections are DESIGN TEAMS and NOTES.  I so LOVE my planner!

IMG_2018I also took some white binder clips and dressed them up with a bit of Washi… LOVE how easy this is!!

IMG_1997Oh, and that pretty pink thing on my planner in the first picture, is my Planner Organizer.  I made this to hold all of my pens, post-it's, clips, etc!!  You can read more and see more pictures of this, >here< on my other blog!
