Hey yall! It's that time again… Kraftin Kimmie Peek Week, and we're kicking it off with the November LOVE LETTERS Krafty Kardmaking Kit! I've loved all of the kits, but I really couldn't stop playing with this one!! I've made a video (my first one EVER so be gentle! lol) showing the contents and close-ups of each of the projects.
Kimmie has truly done an awesome job of picking and coordinating the contents of these kits!! One thing I negelcted to show were ENVELOPES (yup, she includes those too!). The kit comes with enough goodies to make at least 6 kards, but as you'll see there's soooooo muc more! 😉 I've made 5 Kards and 2 goodies (which you'll see below), and I've got a good bit leftover so each day of KKS Peeks this week I'll be showing another somethin' somethin' that I made with the scraps!
So for my $8 stamp (remember when you purchase a kit you get to choose an $8 stamp!), I chose Cupcake Lulu (she's really part of the Birthday Lulu set, but I got her when she was a Krafty Single. The layout for this card is this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch and was perfect to show off lil' miss Lulu and her yummy cupcake! There was plenty of patterned paper in the kit so I paper pieced the cupcake wrapper 🙂 I also added some of the pearls as cupcake sprinkles. Using some of the of scraps I punched out several hearts to use on my projects.
Here's my next Cupcake Lulu, this layout is from last week's Deconstructed Sketch and is packed with LOTS more hearts! The larger cream colored heart is the left-over piece from my next card.. it just fit perfectly here. Again, I've punched several hearts from cardstock scraps and then added some pearls. The sentiment below Lulu is from the Red Queen stamp (which I've also used today!). While your Kit does come with an $8 stamp, I've decided to mix up my images a bit just to show ya some flexibility. Besides, there's nothing that says you can't buy extra stamps 😉
This card was so fun, and I really LOVE the way it turned out! First I punched a heart out of the pink & cream patterned paper, then took some scraps of 4 other papers cut in to strips and added to the back… LOVE! I added 1 of the Heart Charms (from the kit) along with a snippet of red ribbon. The sentiment at the top is from Neverland Sentiments, and I just stamped it on a piece of the patterned paper.
That pink stripey paper is one of the papers from the kit, and as soon as I saw it with that black heart and all of those awesome swirlies, etc. I immediately thought of the Red Queen! I kept her dress lighter so she'd really pop off the page 🙂 These are more of those hearts I mentioned before that I punched from the scraps, you can't see but they are all popped up.
This was such a fun card to make too! Those uber-adorable Candy Hearts are barnd new and will be peeked later this week!! I stamped them all on the patterned papers, cut them out and then used Copics to color in the sides for shading. They were perfect to add on top of this doily! I really LOVE everyone of these cards, but this one is just too fun!!!
I've created a couple of gifties too. Every release I also try to make some non-card things too. My family is a little addicted to these Brown Sugar Oatmeal cookies, and cookies are ALWAYS perfect for a goodie bag! The cookies are just in a sandwich size Ziploc bag, and I added a topper. I puched a border on the teal cs, then added a strip of that cute patterned paper.
Can you see the little heart-charm under the lace bow? And that cute little Lulu is from the Handmade Trinkets set.
My next little giftie is a jar of girlie goodies… 3 bottles of OPI Polish, some cute Emery Boards, files, etc. It's just a strip of patterned paper (I LOVE those postage stamps!!). I colored, cut out and popped up this cute little PIGGY from the Love is in the Air set, stamped the hearts that came with him on patterned paper, cut them out too.
This sentiment comes with him too 🙂 Again, stamped on more patterned paper! And of course some ribbon and a bow around the top.
Ok, well that's all I have for my peeks today, but be sure to come back each day this week to see more KKS peeks and more goodies from this Kit! Kimmie has a list of kit contents as well as some pictures of the kit on the Kraftin Kimmie blog. And be sure to visit these Krafty Girls for more Kit goodness…
