Monochromatic Shoebox, Sense of Time

Hehehe, you thought I fell off the face of the earth, huh?  My poor little baby boy has been so sick and he is sooooooooo clingy to mommy!  He's getting better, though still needy, lol.  I haven't stamped in sooo long and it feels so good to be stamping again.  I met such a great group of ladies on SCS who all live locally and we get together once a month to stamp.  Tonight our task was to make a Monochromatic card for our shoebox swap.  This is what I came up with..

I think I like the outcome.  Monochrome cards take a little more thought for me, but they are easy enough.    Two things that you cannot see so well on the picture, but made a big difference IRL were 1) I used VersaMark and stamped the gears image on the sentiment piece, and 2) I punched out the smaller clock piece and attached it directly to the card base (the main image is popped up with dimensionals).  Thanks for stopping by, later this week I'll have some PMS blog candy up for grabs!!

Supplies (all supplies are Stampin' Up! except as noted)
Stamps: Sense of Time
Paper: Brocade Blue, Night of Navy and Very Vanilla cardstocks
Ink: Brocade Blue, NIght of Navy and VersaMark
Accessories: Brocade Blue ribbon, circle nesties, Top Notes die, Blue brad

  1. i love monochromatic cards! it takes the guess work choosing colors but they always look so elegant. this looks great and would make an awesome masculine card also.
