Blogger’s Challenge #88, Alter It

IMG_6329

Happy Friday!!  This weeks challenge was to alter something.  Nothing in my "Alterables" box was really screaming at me, so I decided to alter some paper and a transparency.  I looked at the tutorial on SCS for the Acetate Box and then just changed the measurements to fit the size, etc. I wanted.  My base squares are 4"x4" and scored at 1" to give it more stability, and it is obviously taller.  I printed the sentiment on the computer and used Shimmerz on the wings and lantern light.  I also wanted to color the whole image as opposed to paper piecing so she'd stand out a little more.  I also had a reason for making her jacket and dress those colors because I am sure I never would have paired them up for an outfit on my own, but now I'm thinking it doesn't look so bad (maybe it's growing on me, lol).  Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!

Oh yeah…while this little cutie is from last month's release, Katie at Papermakeup Stamps has several brand new stamps being release this weekend, head over to Papermakeup Stamps to check them out!
