Sigh, another couple of days of being MIA. It always just stuns me how many kid, house, etc. things there I have each day after work, and how few hubby has… I just don't get it. Oh well, I digress! This is the week my stamp group comes over. We each bring a shoebox card for everyone to make (around a theme) and then I always have a project for us to do. This month's theme is "Snowflakes" and my projects for tonight are Giftcard holders (this is also the challenge over at crazy 4 challenges). Jessica Diedrich-The Whimsical Butterfly, had made one and I loved her template because it was so quick and simple (the card holder was simple, her artwork was gorgeous!). I took her template and altered it a teeny bit (I cut off the flap from the left side), and voila! Seriously making the card holder was quicker that decorating the front!! I am making a 2nd cardholder (using Carolyn King's template from Gina K), so come back tomorrow for that. For the front, I stamped the snowmen on shimmer paper, colored them, cut them out and then popped them up (the shorter dude is a little more "popped" than the other). I used my Sakura Black Glaze penfor his "coal" eyes and buttons. Thanks so much for popping in, hope to see you again soon 🙂
